Creating an Appealing Company That Responds to People’s Trust and Expectations

The basic necessities of life are food, clothing and shelter. The Kewpie Group chooses to specialize in food. To offer delicious and wholesome products at reasonable prices we undertake rigorous testing and screening to obtain the finest ingredients available. Over the years we have devoted our utmost effort to the development and nurturing of original products, persistent improvement of quality, and enhancement of cost competitiveness. Our fundamental corporate policy is to go beyond the satisfaction of customer requirements, and further strive to ensure mutual prosperity with our business partners, to contribute to local communities, and to create an appealing company that can reward the trust and meet the expectations of our shareholders.

Fundamental policy and strategy

In July 2009, the Kewpie Group announced a mid-term management plan for the period of three years from the fiscal year ending November 2010 to the fiscal year ending November 2012. During the period under the plan, the Kewpie Group will, with human resources development and group quality improvement as its basic policies, open up a new phase in each core business in a practical and expeditious manner while strengthening its business foundation.

The Group, on the basis of "promotion of development of human resources and improvement of the quality of the Group", will seek the "strengthening of operating base" and "challenge to new developments" concretely and speedily by business category.
Our Efforts to Concentrate on Key Products. Our business is supported by the following key products: salad condiments, eggs, salad and other prepared vegetables, and hyaluron acid. We will continue to expand our business by enhancing the quality and cost-competitiveness of those key products as well as strengthening our technical expertise and marketing capabilities concerning those key products
