The Health Function Products Business comprises two segments - the Healthcare Business and Fine Chemical Products.
The Healthcare Business provides baby food free of 25 specified allergy provoking ingredients and Japan's first nursing care food (universal design food), through which Kewpie extends the joy of eating to many people.
We also provide medical foods suitable for patients with kidney diseases and diabetes. The Fine Chemical Products Business, which centers on health functions and medical material, has started to use hyaluronic acid as food material as well as cosmetic material. Kewpie is the only manufacturer in Japan that applies two manufacturing methods of cock's comb extraction and microbial fermentation for producing hyaluronic acid. Moreover, Kewpie provides materials for medical products such as yolk lecithin and lysozyme extracted from eggs.
